Get Your Sass On

I have come to love my major.  I never disliked it at all but I honestly can't wait to go to my one WS class every Monday night.  Mondays usually suck for people, not for me! I met with my advisor today, who by the way is completely great.  I showed her my plan for my remaining four semesters and I feel set! I also got this fancy shirt today! Woot! :) 

A Night Well Spent

Tonight I had to go down to the Twin Cities for something so naturally that meant an Ikea trip was in order.  Don't you get super excited when you see bins of yellow bags? 

Cats

Living with my sister allows me to still share her cat with her. Thank goodness.  Some days I really miss my own cat! But my sister's cat is WEIRD! She's an indoor kitty so she longs to be outside.  This is how I found her the other morning in my bedroom.  

Pi Day!

I didn't share this with you yesterday because my pie was consumed rather late on Pi Day. But that's okay. :) Thanks to my fabulous sister for making such delicious key lime pie! 

Here Comes the Sun

Don't mind my dirty window.  It's on the outside! I couldn't help up until... Sunday?

Anyway.  An early morning to write a paper also involved bright, glorious sunshine and an open window.  It's already 52º here! Can we cancel class based on the fact that it is gorgeous outside?

Steak 'n Shake

Remember back in August when my best friend shared a post with you? Well she was recently at a Steak 'n Shake and picked me up my favorite souvenir! 

Also, who knew that spring break would keep me so busy and I wouldn't post for a whole week!

Swimming Swimming in the Swimming Pool

This morning, I for some crazy reason, decided to swim at 6 am.  It was worth it though! It felt nice.  It was also fun to go back to the pool and visit.  I found out that nothing in small towns really ever changes. I don't think I'll ever be a person who wants to move back to my hometown but an occasional visit is totally fine.  Especially when it involves the smell of chlorine which has a sort of nostalgia to it.

Week 5 of Gathering Prep-Ahhh...

I realize this post is a week late but about a week ago, I received the good news that my travel plans are figured out.  I will be carpooling with a friend of a friend from Sioux Falls.  I'm so thankful that she was able to let me in on her plans.

It really helps me to know that I don't have to be buying a plane ticket right now.  (Silly tickets are so expensive!) Carpooling with someone else means that we can get there for cheaper.

I want to say thank you to those of you who have donated to my travel fund! It helps a lot! This way, we'll have money for gas! Hooray!

I'm getting more and more anxious to go. I actually have a friend in New Orleans this week and I'm jealous that it's not my turn to go yet.  I've been longing for the community that is the Lutheran Youth Organization.  July will be a wonderful time.
